Originally created for the Howard Miller Clock Company in 1947 and added to the Herman Miller line in 1954, George Nelson's Bubble Lamp line became an instant mid-century modern classic. As design trends changed, Bubble Lamps were discontinued in 1979 but later revived for homeowners in the late 90s when demand for midcentury designs resurged.
